Pineapple on pizza is the worst kind of pizza. As much as one can label anchovy pizzas and eggplant pizzas as gross. The real immoral act is the Hawaiian pizza.
In a sample of 300 Glendora High School students, 55% said they do not like pineapple on pizza, while 44% like pineapple on pizza and one percent have no opinion. As much as I have no clue how that one percent has no opinion on the topic, I'm at a complete loss with the 44%. World renowned chef and Iceland's president, Gordon Ramsay and Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, can agree how awful a juicy fruit mixed with tomato sauce can be.
When heated the juice will disperse onto all parts of the pizza. So even when attempting to pick it off, there is still a remnant of the juicy fruit. The Hawaiian pizza lovers will state how they love the tanginess and contrast between the dough, sauce, cheese, and pineapple. They even enjoy how the sweetness and the saltiness go together for them.
Yet to put this all aside there is no perfect pizza. Although I love meat lovers it is not everyone's favorite pizza.
All in all, people will have different tastes in pizza toppings. Personally I will agree to disagree with those who like pineapple on pizza.
