Best Places to Take Your Date Before Homecoming

There are many factors when it comes to planning for Homecoming, such as your outfit, date, accessories, and shoes.  Additionally, one of the most important things is where to eat or chill before the dance.  From staying in to getting dinner, here are four of the best places to head before Hoco:

4. Chili’s

Chili’s is a short drive from Glendora High, making it an accessible and cheap meal to eat with your date.  Their most popular item is the Triple Dipper, which allows you to choose three out of five options: chicken crispers, southwestern egg rolls, sliders, fried mozzarella, and either boneless or bone-in wings.  It costs under $20, making it very affordable for teenagers who are hungry before the dance.  As a romantic gesture, offer to share the Triple Dipper, and then eat it all before your date can even take one bite. 

3. Get Ready at Home Together

Getting ready with just the two of you alone can help make the night chill before it gets hectic.  Put on your date's favorite music and help them with whatever they need.  Not only is it a romantic time without having to pay, but it’s also a great way to bond before being around the whole school.  It also makes time to do small-but-cute romantic activities, such as baking chocolate chip cookies together.  Before leaving your home, make sure to sprinkle animal treats on your date's outfit.  That way, right as they are walking out the door, your pet will attack their outfit and get all of their hair on it. 

2. Miyako Sushi

Miyako Sushi is a local sushi restaurant next to Stater Bros, and a 10-minute walk from Glendora High.  Sushi is a delicious, lightweight meal that is perfect for a small dinner before the dance.  Miyako has a variety of food such as sushi, poke bowls, soup/noodles, salads, teriyaki bowls, etc.  Their prices are very affordable for a great meal.  With it being next to Stater Bros, it gives the perfect opportunity to take cute pictures inside the store, posing next to the dog treats or toiletry items. 

1 . Olive Garden 

Olive Garden currently has their Never-Ending Pasta Bowl for only $13.99, which includes appetizers and build-your-own pasta dishes.  Since it is such a reasonably priced restaurant, it’s perfect for teens who do not have much money.  Good food, affordable prices, and a beautiful interior are qualities Olive Garden offers.  For an even more romantic touch, ask the manager if your date can stay behind and wash the dishes in the kitchen for free.  Of course, your date will be honored to do such a thing, and they will thank you profoundly.
