For the Glendora High School water polo goalie, his favorite part about being in goal is the pressure that comes with being the backline of defense. He likes knowing that his teammates are counting on him and that he can help keep everyone accountable during games. Before a big game, he focuses on making sure he is doing his best, holding his teammates accountable, and doing whatever he can to help the team come out with a win. Water polo has taught him to stay persistent and keep giving his all, even when he is tired or sore. His biggest achievement this season so far has been becoming more patient with his teammates. He believes this patience has been a contribution to his team working better together and has played a part in their wins against some difficult opponents. Through the season, he has learned that staying motivated and supporting his teammates can make a difference, especially when games get challenging.

Q: What is your favorite part about being in that position?

A:  I like the pressure that comes with it. The job, just being the backline of defense for the team and keeping my teammates accountable.

Q: What is something you learned through water polo that you'll carry with yourself after high school?

A: Water polo is a very demanding sport and in the future, I'm gonna use this to motivate myself and keep going even when I'm tired and sore. Just to make sure that I give 110% every time.

Q: What is the biggest achievement you've accomplished throughout the season so far?

A: The biggest achievement accomplished hasn't been winning or losing games. But it's just mainly been my patience with my teammates. I think my patience and my teammates have been much better than my last and recent seasons, especially my senior year. And it's helped us win a lot of games this season, especially against teams in San Diego and teams from local areas that we shouldn't have been able to beat.
